Preparing to Run an Autotest 34

Setting the pairing convention

Cable pairing determines which cable pairs are attached to which contacts in the
modular-8 connector. The WireScope 350 relies on this setting to correctly
associate cable pair numbers with modular-8 contact numbers.

To set the cable pairing, from the Autotest Setup screen, select cable pairing and
press

Setting measurement options

The selected cabling performance limit determines the minimum set of
measurements required. The measurement options setting allows you to add
optional measurements, specify frequency spacing, set fault locator behavior and
enable warnings during the autotest.

Select the measurement options icon and press

Edit

to change

measurement options. The first Measurements Setup screen lists the
measurements required by the cabling limit you have selected.
