To test a sink device:
1. After connecting to the W2642A, select the
Setup
tab on the W2642A GUI.
2. Select
the
Source
radio button for the
Mode
.
3. Select
Run
for the
State
.
Note: At any time you can click on the Refresh activation button to update the status of the controls and display in
the Setup tab. You can also configure the W2642A GUI to periodically update the controls and display by
enabling the Auto Refresh check box.
Reading and writing an EDID
The procedures below describe how to read and write to an EDID from a sink device under test connected to the
W2642A. You may configure the W2642A with a valid DPCD when testing a DisplayPort source device.
To read an EDID from a device:
1. Select
the
EDID
tab on the W2642A GUI.
2. Click on the
Read from DP
activation button.
3. The EDID appears in the EDID Raw matrix. Each functional section is shown in the additional rows in the
EDID
tab.
