7. For sink mode, you can now activate
Hot Plug
by selecting the Plugin radio button and send Hot Plug
events by selecting a pulse width in the drop-down menu and clicking on the
Send HPD
button.
The lower right box on the
Setup
tab contains three "LEDs" that reflect the status of the HPD signal.
At any time you can click on the Refresh button to update the status of the controls and displays on the
Setup
tab. You can also activate a periodic (~1 second) automatic refresh by checking the
Auto Refresh
check box.
Note
: Auto Refresh should not be activated if you are changing tabs and doing extended data transfers
using the other tabs as the Aux Channel transactions may collide with each other. The status bar at the
bottom of the window should indicate “Connect Successful.”
Testing a device
The procedures below describe how to test a DisplayPort source device with the W2642A AUX Channel
Controller. For this test the W2642A GUI will cause the W2642A to emulate a sink device. Use the figure below as
a reference for the test procedures.
To test a source device:
1. After connecting to the W2642A, select the
Setup
tab on the W2642A GUI.
2. Select
the
Sink
radio button for the
Mode
.
3. Select
Run
for the State.
