Dual Pump SIPS or Diluter Required to Prepare Standard Additions
The error message “Dual pump SIPS or Diluter required to prepare
Standard additions" appears during an autorun
You may encounter this error if you have selected Switch to Std
Additions as the error action for the failure of a QC spike and you do
not have the hardware to prepare QC standard additions installed.

If you have a SIPS 20 unit, change the option for the right pump
to Bulk standard.
Unable to Achieve Blank Reading
The error message “Unable to achieve blank reading" appears during
an autorun.
This error message will appear if the final absorbance reading during
a
Smart Rinse fails to fall below the user-defined minimum
absorbance limit within the rinse period. This suggests the diluent
has been contaminated or some memory effects are remaining.
The SIPS Purge error action specified on the Sequence page will be
performed next.
This error may also be caused by one of the following:

Nebulizer blockage, preventing the aspiration of diluent.

Check the nebulizer uptake rate and remove the nebulizer for
cleaning if necessary.

The nebulizer is adjusted incorrectly or the maximum pump
speed is set too high. This results in the contamination of the
diluent since the volume of solution being pumped is greater than
the uptake rate of the nebulizer.
