X-ray emission survey

3.1.

Visually inspect the Agilent 5DX system skins for any damaged

shielding parts and missing or damaged seals or safety wires. If found,
fix the problem and/or inform your supervisor.

3.2.

Close, screw down or lock all access panels that were opened for

inspection in step 2. Make sure all access panels are secure.

3.3.

Close the loader assembly outer movable barrier(s) and open the inner

one(s).

3.4.

Turn on both radiation test instruments and allow at least 1 minute warm

up.

3.5.

Check the Victoreen 440RF (or 450P) using its operational source.

3.6.

Set the Victoreen 440RF (or 450P) to the most sensitive scale (0 to 0.1
mR/hr).

3.7.

Check the Victoreen 290 using its operational source.

3.8.

Set the Victoreen 290 or Radiation Alert® Inspector to the most sensitive

scale (0 to 0.1 mR/hr).

3.9.

Measure the background radiation level with the X-ray source HV off

and record it in the space provided on Form E7200-90026_1.
