3 Insert the SIM card
With the phone switched off, slide open the
SIM card
slot
. Insert the SIM card, ensuring that the gold contact
area is facing up and the slanted edge is at the upper left.
You can use a coin or a corner of the USB card included
in the pack to push the SIM card in, until it clicks into
place. To remove, push gently with a coin or a corner of
the USB card and it will pop out.
4 Turn on the phone
Press and hold the
End
key. The Æsir logo appears on
the screen as the phone starts up.
5 Enter your PIN
If prompted, key in your SIM card PIN (Personal
Identification Number). If you are transferring a SIM
card from another phone, the PIN stays the same.
6 Follow the setup assistant
The setup assistant appears when you turn on your
phone for the first time or after a master reset. Follow
the prompts to set the display and input language, set
and format the time and date, and copy contacts from
your SIM card. Copying may take several minutes.
To skip the setup assistant, press the
End
key or the
Right selection
key.
Syncing to PC and Mac
You can synchronise, backup and restore information
in
Contacts, Calendar, Notes
and
To-do list
using
Æsir Sync. To download Æsir Sync to your PC or Mac,
visit www.aesir-copenhagen.com. A guide for use can
be found in the Æsir Sync
Help
menu.
Software upgrades
Using Æsir Sync, you can upgrade your Æ+Y phone with
the latest version of software made available by Æsir.
Notices of new software upgrades will appear on Æsir
Sync, when your phone is connected.
Troubleshooting
If the phone will not start up, the battery may be empty.
Connect the charger, wait up to 30 minutes and retry.
If you are having problems while the phone is in use,
press and hold the
End
key from the home screen to
switch off, then switch on again.
If the
End
key does not respond, do a forced reboot.
Press the
5-way navigation
key and the
End
key
simultaneously for four seconds.

calls, roaming and voicemail notification may be
subject to your network service provider’s SIM settings.
