Navigating
The
5-way navigation
key lets you navigate inside the
menus and select menu options. Press up, down, left
and right to navigate. Press centre or right to select an
option and to access a pop-up menu where applicable.
Left-press to go back to the previous screen.
Making a call
From the home screen, key in the number you wish
to call and press the
Call
key. Alternatively, press the
Right selection
key to access
Contacts
. Use the
5-way
navigation
key to highlight your contact and press the
Call
key. To search for a contact, while in
Contacts,
you
can begin to key in a contact name to search
alphabetically.
Answering a call
An incoming call is signalled by an Æ+Y phone ringtone,
an
Incoming call
message and, if you have set your phone
to vibrate, a vibrating alert. Press the
Call
key to accept
the call.
Ending or rejecting a call
Press the
End
key to end a call or reject an incoming call.
Call forwarding
To forward incoming calls to another number, go to
Menu\
Settings \ Call settings \ Call forwarding
. Select
On
from
the pop-up menu and key in the number. To deactivate
call forwarding, select
Off
. To check if the function is
activated select
Check status
from the pop-up menu.
Voicemail
To access your voicemail, you first need to set it up.
Go to
Menu \ Settings \ Call settings \ Voicemail
and select
On
from the pop-up menu. Input the voicemail number
supplied by your network service provider. Select
OK
.
To listen to voicemail, press and hold the

key from the
home screen. Voicemail notification will vary according
to your network service provider’s settings.
Reading text messages
From the home screen, press the
Left selection
key to
access the
Messaging
menu and view all your messages.
Unread messages in your
Inbox
are highlighted in
orange.
Sending text messages
Go to
Menu \ Messaging \ New.
Key in the number in the
top field. Alternatively, to input a contact, press the
Capital letter
key to change to letter input mode, begin
to key in the contact name and centre-press the
5-way
navigation
key to retrieve a filtered list from
Contacts.
Choose a recipient and select
Select
to insert. Press down
to enter the main text field. Key in the message and
select
Send
or press the
Call
key. Alternatively, you can
start a new text message by selecting a recipient from
Contacts
. Select the contact and select
Send text
from the
pop-up menu.
