Radio frequency energy and SAR Certification
Containing a low-power radio transmitter and receiver,
this phone emits low levels of radio frequency (RF)
energy when it is switched on. Your phone is designed
not to exceed the limits of exposure to RF energy set out
by international guidelines. These guidelines employ a
unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption
Rate (SAR), describing the amount of RF energy
absorbed by the body when using a mobile phone.
The limits are based on scientific studies and include
a safety margin, catering for the safety of all people
regardless of age and health.
You can limit your RF energy exposure by limiting the
time using the wireless mode of the phone, and by
increasing the distance between your body and the
phone.
Stainless steel: the highest SAR value for the Æ+Y phone
(YB1) is 0.282W/kg.
18 carat gold: the highest SAR value for the Æ+Y phone
(YB1) is 0.428W/kg.
