Device lock
The device lock’s default state is off. To activate the
device lock, go to
Menu \ Settings \ General \ Device lock \
State
and select. Enter the device lock code, which is
12345678, and select
OK
. Choose
On
from the pop-up
menu to activate the lock. You can enter a new code in
Change code
.
To set the lock to operate every time you turn on the
phone, select
Device lock mode
. Re-enter the code.
Choose
Always
from the pop-up menu. To lock the
device when a new SIM card is installed, select
Device
lock mode,
re-enter the code and choose
SIM change
from the pop-up menu. If SIM change is activated,
the phone will lock when a new SIM card is inserted
and will ask for the code during startup.
To deactivate the device lock, go to
Menu \ Settings \
General \ Device lock \ State.
Enter the device lock code
and select
OK
. Select
Off
.
If you enter the code incorrectly 10 times, the phone will
shut down and automatically lock. To unlock the phone,
you will need to contact Æsir Customer Service with your
IMEI code. This is displayed when you next turn on the
phone.
If device lock is activated and the phone is turned on by
accident, it will automatically shut down if no code is
input within five minutes.
PIN request
You can set the phone to request a SIM card PIN code
every time it starts up. Go to
Menu \ Settings \ General \
PIN
to set up PIN request. Select
Request
and
On
from the
pop-up menu and key in the correct PIN code from your
SIM card. Select
OK
. If you enter an incorrect PIN three
times, you will be asked for a PUK code. This can be
obtained from your network service provider.
If PIN request is activated and the phone is turned on
by accident, it will automatically shut down if no code
is input within five minutes.
Date and time
To set the date, go to
Menu \ Settings \ General \ Date
and time \ Date
. From the
Date and time
menu, select
Date settings
to set the date format to
mm / dd / yyyy,
dd.mm.yyyy
or
yyyy -mm -dd
from the pop-up menu.
To set the time, go to
Menu \ Settings \ General \ Date
and time \ Time.
From the
Date and time
menu select
Time settings
to set the time format to
12-hour
or
24-hour
from the pop-up menu. If the time format is set to 12-
hour, centre-press the
5-way navigation
key to select
am or pm when setting the time.
Languages
To change the display and input language of your
phone, go to
Menu \ Settings \ General \ Language
.
Select your preference from the pop-up menu.
Sound
To set your tone and volume preferences, go to
Menu \
Settings \ Sound
. To select a ringtone, open the
Ringtone
menu. The current ringtone is framed. Use the
5-way
navigation
key to highlight and listen to each option.
Once you have made your choice, select
Save
.
To turn the message tone on or off, go to
Menu \ Settings \
Sound \ Message tone
and choose from the pop-up menu.
To turn the warning tone on or off, do the same in
Menu \ Settings \ Sound \ Warning tone
. If warning tone is
activated, it will alert you, for example, when the battery
is low.
To turn the tone volume up or down, go to
Menu \
Settings \ Sound \ Tone volume
. Up or down-press the
5-way navigation
key to adjust the tone volume.
Select
Save
.
To turn vibrate on or off, go to
Menu \ Settings \ Sound \
Vibrate
and choose from the pop-up menu.
To turn your phone to silent mode from the home
screen, press and hold the lower section (-) of the
Volume
key.
