11. OPERATING
LOGIC
11.1. SETTING/MODIFYING
USER/
MANUFACTURER PARAMETERS
Starting from the S1 Adjustment
Temperature display, it is possible to
access the User and Manufacturer
menus; then the Configuration and
Alarm submenus can be accessed
from the latter using the UP and DOWN
buttons. After entering the relevant
menu/submenu, you may access
the list of parameters by pressing the
SET button. Scroll through the list of
parameters using the UP and DOWN
buttons.
Each branch is cyclic, i.e. the last
variable leads back to the first if you
press the DOWN button, and the first
variable leads on to the last if you press
the UP button. Press and hold the UP/
DOWN buttons while navigating each
branch to quickly increase/decrease
the variables displayed.
Once you have identified the variable
to be modified, press the SET button to
display the corresponding value. Use
the UP and DOWN buttons to modify this
value, or press and hold the UP/DOWN
buttons to quickly increase/decrease
the value associated with the variable;
the increase/decrease will stop as
soon as one of the two limits has been
reached, after which you can go back
by pressing the UP/DOWN buttons.
Press the SET button again to confirm
the change and display the parameter
label again.
Press and hold the SET button from
anywhere in the navigation diagram to
return to the S1 display screen.
The variables with default values
containing a decimal point are
represented in the same way on the
display, while the other variables are
treated as whole numbers which should
remain within the specified limits.
To restore the original default values,
press the UP and DOWN buttons when
the machine is switched on; this will
reset all data.

11.2. VIEWING
PARAMETERS
Starting from the S1 Adjustment
Temperature display, it is possible to
use the display to simply view machine
status information (without modifying it),
such as the S2 probe temperature, input
and output status and operating hours
(see NAVIGATION DIAGRAM).
The indication that you are navigating
this branch of the menu is expressed by
the point at the far right of the display,
which will be lit steadily.
Exit the viewing mode either by pressing
and holding the SET button, or by letting
a period of 60 seconds elapse after
touching one of the UP, DOWN or SET
buttons.
11.3. TEMPERATURE
REGULATION
Since domestic hot water production
inside the boiler takes place by means
of two instruments (an air-to-water heat
pump - HP - and an electric heating
element), the controller (which has
two probes, S1 for water and S2 for air)
controls the activation of one instrument
or the other, in accordance with:
• The U01 temperature of the water
inside the boiler (desired set point).
• The water temperature differential
after H26.
• The H05 outside air temperature.
• The air temperature differential
after H06.
11.4. MACHINE
OFF
When the machine is switched on, all
segments of the display light up and
after 5 seconds will appear to be in off
mode, i.e. with all loads and indications
off; only the point at the far right of
the display will remain on to indicate
connection to the power supply. In this
mode, the machine does not adjust any
temperature regulation functions; the
alarm indications remain active.
There are four operating statuses:
• STANDBY
• AUTOMATIC
• MANUAL
• ANTI-BACTERIAL
11.5. STANDBY
Pressing the [ON/OFF] button once
sends the instrument into STANDBY
mode. In this status, the power supply
connection light is off and temperature
S1 is displayed. From this status, as from
the following statuses, it is possible to
navigate the menus to display/modify
the status of the various parameters
governing the machine.
It is also possible to activate automatic/
manual operation or the anti-bacterial
treatment cycle from this status,
using the "Mode" and "Cycle" buttons
respectively. Pressing the [A/M] button
will send the machine into Automatic
mode; subsequent presses will switch
the mode from Automatic to Manual
and vice-versa.
