8.4. CONNECTING
THE
CONDENSATE
DRAIN
The condensate which forms during
heat pump operation flows through
the Ø20 drain hose, which runs inside
the insulating jacket and ends up
at the rear of the machine. This must
be connected to a pipe so that the
condensate can flow through easily.
Two connections are provided for the
pipe, as illustrated in the figure below:
A (with DN20 male - 3/4" threaded
male hose connection) and B (with
male DN20 - 3/4" threaded female
hose connection). This drain pipe must
also have a siphon.
8.5. AERAULIC
CONNECTIONS
WARNING: SWP units with
centrifugal fan may require the
installation of aeraulic ducts. Install
the aeraulic ducts so that: they are
not resting their entire weight on
the unit; the allow unit access and
servicing as well as the removal of
any accessories installed; they avoid
air recirculation between the machine
intake and delivery; and they are
suitably protected so as to prevent
material from accidentally entering
the machine.
Pressure drop in the ducts (including
grilles and any other elements) under
nominal airflow conditions should
not exceed the useful head made
available by the unit.
IN ANY CASE, THE DUCTS SHOULD NOT
EXCEED A TOTAL LENGTH OF 10 METRES
(COMBINED INTAKE AND DELIVERY)
8.6. ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS
BEFORE BEGINNING ANY
PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE
GENERAL POWER SUPPLY LINE IS FITTED
WITH A SWITCH.
• Electrical connection to the
control panel should be carried
out by specialised personnel, in
accordance with the diagram
provided.
• Make sure that the voltage and
frequency given on the plate
correspond to the values for the
electricity line connection.
CARRY OUT THE CONNECTION PROCESS
USING WIRES WITH A SUITABLE CROSS-
SECTION FOR THE POWER REQUIRED,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL
STANDARDS. THESE MUST ALSO BE SIZED
SO AS TO CREATE A VOLTAGE DROP OF
LESS THAN 3% OF THE NOMINAL VALUE
DURING THE START-UP PHASE.
Do not use adapters, multiple sockets
and/or extension leads for the general
heat pump power supply.
• The installer is responsible for fi tting
the power supply switch as close
as possible to the unit, as well as
any protection required for the
electrical parts.
• The unit must be connected to an
effective earth connection, using
the special screw inserted into the
unit itself.
