9.2.6 Sample test error troubleshooting table
Listed in the table below are errors which could occur during a sample test. Use this table as a
guide on how to troubleshoot sample test related issues.

Sample Pre-Freeze
Confirm good technique and pipette condition
Re-pipette the sample, or re-run using a known control such as Clinitrol
Check for particulate matter in the sample
Sample cooling well may need cleaning
Sample probe may need cleaning
Sample Did Not
Freeze
Confirm sample is present in sample tube
Confirm good technique and pipette condition
Verify solenoid impacts are occurring; use solenoid diagnostics to test
Test a control such as Clinitrol to see if the issue persists
Sample may be above range of instrument
Sample cooling well may need cleaning
Sample probe may need cleaning
Sample Tube Not
Detected
The sample tube not present on turntable
If sample tube was present yet not detected, try another load position
Test Time Out
Confirm good technique and pipette condition
Re-pipette the sample, or re-run using a known control such as Clinitrol
Sample may be outside range of instrument
Check for particulate matter in the sample
Confirm sample and cooling block motors are engaging
Out of Range Low
Out of Range High
Confirm good technique and pipette condition

Check for particulate matter in the sample
Sample may be outside the range of instrument
Out of range low indicates the measured reading is below -10 mOsm
