1.3 Remove the rear panel
WARNING:
When removing the rear panel, be sure to follow these instructions and
warnings.
•
Disconnect power from the instrument.
•
Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the rear panel. See Figure 1.1
•
Remove rear panel.
•
Performing service or maintenance not detailed in the User’s Guide, with or without a
service manual, should only be done by a qualified service technician.
•
Use caution and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working near
the sample probe to prevent skin punctures or other injuries.

1.4 Remove the shipping stops
CAUTION:
Do not apply electrical power before removing the cooling assembly and
sample probe shipping stops. Damage to the motors can result.
The OsmoPRO is shipped with two shipping stops. One secures the sample cooling assembly,
and the other secures the sample probe. Remove warning labels attached to the shipping stops
before turning on the power to the instrument by using the following procedure:
•
Remove the cooling assembly shipping stop by unscrewing the red-capped thumb screw
from the turntable spindle.
•
Lift the aluminum shipping stop straight up to avoid damage to the sample cooling
assembly.
•
Secure the red-capped thumb screw in the side hole of the shipping stop and save
assembly for future use. (Figure 1.2)
