6. Remove the switch actuating screw and the
associated hardware (G) from the pusher
arm mounting block. Use an appropriate
replacement actuating screw (longer),
if required.
NOTE: The switch actuating screw
can be reached from the back of the
unit. Move the mounting block
towards the back of the unit by
manually rotating the lead screw
shaft counterclockwise. Position the
mounting block for optimal
accessibility to the actuating screw.
7. Manually position the mounting block
so that the actuating screw is in contact
with the switch.
8. Install the replacement pusher arm with the
hardware that was previously removed.
9. Adjust the arm so that the bottom edge is
parallel with the deck.
10. Check for proper alignment by cycling a
cassette in the tube transport test mode.
The arm is adjusted correctly when the
cassette is pushed into the proper position
for indexing and indexes properly, even
when the cassette is initially placed into
the “worst case” possible position.
NOTE: The captivator spring
end should not slide into the
groove between positions 1 and 2
of the cassette when indexing
starts, or mis-indexing will occur.
Readjust if necessary. Also, the
end of the captivator spring should
not touch the center bar of the
deck during pusher arm travel.
Readjust if necessary.
