5. Remove the allen head cap screw and

associated hardware (H) that mounts the
yoke (I) and coil (F) to the sample head
bracket (J).  Remove the yoke, clapper,
and the coil.

6. If reusing the clapper, the yoke, or the two

screws and associated hardware attaching
the clapper to the yoke, remove the
clapper from the yoke.

7. Pre-assemble by attaching the clapper onto

the yoke using the screws and associated
hardware. Check the yoke to make sure
that the top of the yoke is reasonably
perpendicular with the side of the yoke
when viewed from the side of the yoke
where the clapper is installed. Take care to
align the clapper even with the top of the
yoke.

8. Install the yoke, clapper, and coil with the

allen head cap screw and associated
hardware from step 5. Tighten so that the
parts are snug but still adjustable.  

9. Solder the two white wires to the terminals

on the circuit board assembly. Take care to
only heat those two terminals without
disturbing any other connections on the
circuit board assembly.

10. Install the stir/freeze wire into the clapper

and hold in place by tightening the stir/
freeze wire setscrews.

11. Properly align and then tighten the screws

mounting the coil, yoke and clapper with
the stir/freeze wire. 

NOTE:

Proper alignment of these parts is

critical to proper positioning and
alignment of the stir/freeze wire
with respect to the sample probe.
