Revision 2.2, Apr 2020
If you discover a problem with the split weight locations you specified, press the [F1] “Re-split”
or [F0] “Back Up” key and enter the two new angles. When the “Actual Installed Weight” fields
are completed, press [OK] to continue.
The screen will return to the “Balance Solution” banner screen with the combined split-weight
solution being displayed for the user. Press [OK] to continue.
4.1.8.3.
– “Prop Suggested/Installed Weights”
If the “Holes:” field in paragraph 4.1.1.1.7 above was set to “Yes,” the “Prop Suggested/Installed
Weights” banner screen shown below will be displayed.
The screen is identified at the top left as being “Run: 1 Eng 1”. The center of the screen is
divided into two columns, “Suggested” and “Installed”.
In the example screen shown above, the “Suggested” solution is “20.4 @ 180
” which means the
analyzer suggests 20.4 grams (g) of weight at 180 degrees from the index point. (see Page 4-4 on
how to use the Propeller Protractor to locate the phase angle). Below this solution are the
calculated weight placements for each identified hole location. These fields cannot be edited.
The “Installed” solution indicates the calculated solution based on the weights and hole locations
shown in this column. These fields can be edited and allows the user to enter the exact amount of
weight and the hole location where it was installed. If you are unable to install the exact amount
of weight in the recommended solution, install a weight as near the suggested solution weight as
possible.
It is important to note that you must enter the actual amount of weight installed
and its location.
If these values are not accurate, subsequent solutions will not be accurate.
