19-6 – Monitor Overall

Once any of these “F” key options are selected, both the screen and the corresponding “F” key
functions change. With each selection, the “F” keys offer different options (e.g., Chan A, Chan
B, Overall, Expand, Shrink, X scale) for viewing the spectra. The “F” key functions for viewing
overall spectra are described in the following steps.
19.1.3.1.
– Fields displayed when viewing Overall
19.1.3.1.1.
“Samples:” – Number of data samples collected by the analyzer. This will be an
increasing numeric value will be displayed as soon as the screen is displayed.

“Channel” – Displays the descriptions entered in paragraphs 19.1.1.11 for each vibration
sensor and 19.1.2.3 for each Viper II tach channel.

“Current” – Displays the current values for each channel configured.
19.1.3.1.4.
“MxChan(x)” – Displays the maximum values recorded for the indicated channel.

“Units” – Displays the unit of measure selected in paragraph 19.1.1.6 above for each
sensor channel configured.

“% Speed” (Viper II only) – Displays the speed in percent for each tach configured
ONLY if a 100% speed value was in entered in paragraph 19.1.2.4. Otherwise, these
fields will be blank.
19.1.3.2.
– Function Key Options when viewing Overall
19.1.3.2.1.
Pressing the [F1] “Maximum” key changes the function key menu options to the channel
select sub-menu. This allows the user to view all values in relation to the maximum
values for the selected channel. For example, pressing [F2] will display the readings of all
