Power Management Settings Parameters

Parameter

Description

Setting or Format

Modem Ring Resume
On Indicator

When enabled, and an incoming modem ring is
detected, the computer wakes up from standby mode.
When the computer is off or in hibernation mode, the
computer will not resume on a modem ring.

Battery-low Warning
Beep

Enables or disables warning beeps during a battery-low
condition.

Enabled
Disabled

Sleep Upon Battery-low

Enables or disables the sleep function (hibernation or
standby) during a battery-low condition.

When the computer is running very low on battery
power, the computer will disregard the system sleep
state setting and enter hibernation mode if Sleep
Manager is installed and the hibernation file is valid.

Disabled

Pressing Fn-F6 during normal computer operation (after POST) also brings up the power
management screen. An additional page, shown below, is added to this function which appears
only via Fn-F6.
