When recording is completed it may take a few
moments for the session to close.
Recording continues until you stop the recording or when the disc
or the HDD is full.
To stop recording
When you press [ STOP] , it may take a few moments for recording
to stop and the session to close.
To pause recording
Press [
PAUSE] to pause recording, and press [
PAUSE] again
to resume recording.
Press [SETUP] button.
Notes:
1. The new setting can’t change the current recording mode but will
be activated during the next recording session.
2. If a new recordable DVD-RW disc is used for recording, you need
to first select either “Quick Preparation” or “Full Preparation” and
press [ENTER] for the disc to be prepared for recording.
To check the disc status while recording
Press [DISPLAY] , the recording information appears.
Before recording
1. This DVD recorder records on DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW,
CD-R/RW discs and the built-in HDD. Please use
recommended recordable discs to ensure the best recording
quality. Check our Web site for the recommended disc list.
2. DVD+R, DVD-R and CD-R are write-once discs.
3. DVD+RW, DVD-RW and CD-RW are re-writable discs.
4. You cannot add new recording sessions to DVD+R, DVD-R
or DVD-RW discs after the discs are finalized.
5. In some cases, you may not be able to add new recording(s)
to a recordable DVD disc that contains contents written on
other DVD recorders.
6. A disc records 49 video titles maximum. A single title recorded
on a DVD disc can contain a maximum of 99 chapter. A
DVD disc can contain a maximum of 254 chapter marks.
7. A title recorded on the built-in HDD contains 999 chapter
marks maximum.
8. This recorder is designed to record using the NTSC coloring
system and playback using the PAL or NTSC coloring system. A
disc recorded with NTSC contents can not be used to record
PAL signals.

Cautions:
Recording television programs
1. Press [ POWER] to turn the unit on.
2. Press the [HDD/DVD] button to set the target device
as “HDD” or “DVD.”
If “DVD” is selected as the target device, press [ OPEN/CLOSE] to
open the disc tray and insert a recordable DVD disc.
Press the button again to close the tray.
If a new recordable DVD-RW disc is used for recording, you need to
first select either “Quick Preparation” or “Full Preparation” and press
[ENTER] for the disc to be prepared for recording.
When you insert a new recordable CD-R or CD-RW disc,
press [

] to select the preparation format for the disc.
3. Press [SOURCE] and press [

] to select “TV”
as the signal-input source.
4. Press [ CH ] or press [

] to select the
TV channel you want to record.
