1 Identification
The welding torch system ABIROB
®
A is used in industry and in the trade for
inert gas welding using inert gases (MIG) or active gases (MAG). This model
is air-cooled and can be used in all welding positions. These operating
instructions only describe the welding torch system

A may only be operated using original
ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.

A described in these operating instructions complies
with the basic safety and health requirements of the EC directive. Any
modification not agreed with us will void this declaration.
1.2 Responsibilities of the User
Within the EEA (European Economic Area) the current version of the national
implementation of the Framework Directive (89/391/EEC) and the related
individual directives and, of these, especially Directive (89/655/EEC)
concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work
equipment by workers at work must be adhered to. In Germany, the Job
Protection Law and the Company Safety Ordinance must be heeded. In
addition, the operator must ensure that the welding torch system
ABIROB
®
A
in connection with welding units comply with the EC EMC Directive (89/336/
EEC) and that the signal utilization of the integrated welding current monitoring
against stray currents is installed properly.
2 Product Description
2.1 Designated Use
The liquid-cooled welding torch system ABIROB
®
A must be used for robot
and automatic application. Designated use also includes the observance of the
prescribed operating, maintenance and servicing conditions.
