Type:
mount –t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/
2 For Red Hat 2.4 kernels, type:
cp /mnt/***/3w-xxxx.o /lib/modules/
***kernel string***/kernel/drivers/scsi
3 For Red Hat 7.2 and newer , add the following line to
/etc/modules.conf:
alias scsi_hostadapter 3w-xxxx
4 Run mkinitrd by entering the following:
/sbin/mkinitrd -v /boot/initrd-xxx xxxx
Note:
The first argument (xxx) for initrd is the kernel ver-
sion string. The second argument (xxxx) for initrd is the /
lib/modules directory to copy the 3w-xxxx driver from.
5 Add initrd=(path and name of RAM disk; i.e. /boot/initrd-
***kernel string***
) after root=line for the boot image in /
etc/lilo.conf.
/etc.lilo.conf should look similar to the following:
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
linear
default=linux
image=/boot/vmlinux-***kernel string***
label=linux
root=/dev/hda7
