Rebuilding a Degraded Array

In the event that the RAID Status window shows a degraded drive status, a manual rebuild may
be attempted. Avoid performing a rebuild operation while the server is on air. If the degraded
disk (identified via "Port #" in the RAID Status window) has a prior record of degrading, or has

failed to properly rebuild in a prior attempt, 360 Systems recommends drive replacement.
The following steps initiate a manual array rebuild:

1. Initiate the RAID Status window from

Start > System > RAID Status.

2. Click on Configure in the top right of the window.
3. Click the checkbox on the Port of the drive that has error or offline state as indicated by

an "Error" or "Not in Service" message (Figure 23).

4. Click the Remove Drive button.
