Total Playlist Time
The window labeled TOTAL RUN TIME presents the cumulative time of all clips within a
playlist. This time can be used to verify that a playlist is the correct length for its intended
use.
Inserting a Clip Within a Playlist
New clips will be inserted
below
a highlighted name in the playlist.
•
First highlight a clip within the playlist.
•
Select a new clip from the source clip folder, and add it to the playlist. Notice that it
appears
below
the previously highlighted clip.
•
To add a clip to the
top
of the playlist, highlight below the last entry in the playlist, then
add a clip from the source folder.
Still Frames
A single-frame clip (a “still”) may be inserted into the playlist. The length of a still will appear
as 1 frame in the clip list. When a still is encountered, the playlist will pause and hold the still
image until a Play command is issued, at which point the playlist will continue to the next clip
in the list. When using the GUI, the space bar (a keyboard shortcut) will also advance the
playlist. Stills may be placed anywhere in a playlist. In fact, a playlist may be entirely
composed of stills.
Stills are created when TARGA files are ingested (see Page 41 for a description of TARGA file
ingest).
Removing a Clip
•
Highlight a clip that is to be removed from the playlist.
•
Click the REMOVE button, which has the legend “<<”.
Clearing a Playlist
Click the CLEAR button to remove all entries.
Modifying an Existing Playlist
From the File Menu select OPEN, or click the OPEN tool. This action will present a list of
named playlists. Select the desired playlist for modification. It may be saved again under the
same name, or as a new name.
