Tip: Change the
configuration for a
pad to hear your
sequence with new
sounds.
Enable the Metronome
You can turn the metronome on and off and adjust how loud it is on the Transports
pop-up.
1.
Open the Transports pop-up by touching the clock or holding down the
Right Arrow button.
2.
Touch the METRO button to toggle the state of the metronome. The
button has a violet colored frame and text when active.
3.
Touch the METLV knob to make sure the focus ring is around it. Turn the
top knob to adjust the volume of the metronome.
Record a Sequence
You can record a sequence that is played directly on the
pads or over the MIDI inputs.
1.
Push the Home screen once or twice to go to
the Sequence Home screen.
2.
Touch an empty sequence to select it. This is
the sequence that you will record into.
3.
Open the Transports pop-up by touching the
clock or holding down the Right Arrow button.
4.
Hold the PLAY button while you tap the REC
button. The Sequence name in the title will turn
red and a red circle appears to indicate you are
recording.
5.
Push the Home button twice to go to the Pads
Home screen.
6.
Tap in a rhythm. The sequence will play in a
loop when it reaches the end of the sequence
length, which is 1 measure by default. You can
add additional drum hits by playing along with
the loop.
7.
You can also trigger pads using an external
MIDI controller and they will be recorded.
8.
When done, open the Transports pop-up and
tap REC to stop recording while continuing to
play the sequence, or tap STOP to end
recording and playback.
