4. If you check the error log in menu 24.3.1, this will usually give you
some logs regarding why the call was dropped. If there is nothing in
the log, the call may have been dropped by the remote device that
you dialed in to. Make sure that the configuration parameters
between these two devices are consistent.
Problems Connecting to a Remote User
1. First verify that you have configured the authentication parameters in
menu 13. These would be CLID Authen, Recv. Authen, and
Mutual Authen.
2. If the Remote Dial-in User is negotiating IP, verify that the IP
address is supplied correctly in menu 13. Check that either the
Remote Dial-in User is supplying a valid IP address, or that the
Prestige is assigning a valid address from the IP pool.
3. If the Remote Dial-in User is negotiating IPX, verify that the IPX
network number is valid from the IPX pool (if it is being used).
4. In menu 14, verify the user name and password for the Remote
Dial-in User.
