System Shut Down

You can initiate a shutdown of the MX250 from the Administrative UI as described in the

MX

Administrators Manual

. On the MX250 you can also shut down the system with the power

button.
When you shut down the MX250, all applications are gracefully shutdown and Linux is

terminated properly. The stages of this shut down are shown by the LEDs as described in figure

7-6.
The MX250 will shut down automatically.
