MX250 Hardware Manual
7.3
Operational System
There are three LEDs on the front of the chassis and three LEDs on the rear of the chassis. The
meanings of the LEDs is described in figure 7-3, figure 7-4, and figure 7-5.
The MX250 indicates that the battery is low if the magnitude of the voltage falls below 46 V ±5%.
The MX250 indicates that the battery is very low if the magnitude of the voltage falls below 44 V
±5%.
When the MX250 is running normally and connected to a BPS12 power supply, all LEDs are
green. Also, when the MX250 is operational, none of the LEDs is off.
7.4
Cluster LEDs
MX Clusters is a software option that allows you to connect multiple MX250 systems to operate
as a single MX unit. Each MX250 system that is a member of an MX cluster is referred to as a
node
.
An MX system that is a component of a cluster is configured as one of three types of cluster nodes:
master, member, or standby. Refer to the MX Administrator’s Manual for more information on
MX Clusters.
7.4.1
Master System LEDs
Under normal operating conditions, the LEDs on the master system of a cluster operate
identically to a standalone MX system. If the cluster is licensed and configured for redundancy,
the Status LED flashes orange (250 ms) and off (250 ms) when the cluster redundancy state is
Redundancy Failed. Refer to the MX Administrators Manual for information on configuring
Clusters.
