LINE SETUP
The lower third of most Main Menu screens contains Line Setup fields. The Line Setup area of
the screen should be filled in before setting parameters in the Channel Table. The information in
this part of the screen can affect how changes to other fields are automatically updated,
especially in the Channel Table. Many of these input fields are not frequently changed after a
survey has started, therefore they are located in the lower third of the screen. Though there is no
required sequence for editing the input fields, it is suggested that these fields be entered first.
The following list of input fields is in the suggested order of data entry. Not all programs
contain all the fields listed below, some programs contain additional fields, but all the fields in
this portion of the screen should be inspected and modified if necessary.
TIME SERIES
Set optional saving of all raw data collected during the acquisition.
ARRAY
Survey array type.
A-SPACE
Transmitter electrode spacing.
S-SPACE
Station spacing.
LINE, Direction, Azimuth, SPREAD
These fields are informative.
TX LOC
Transmitter location. Some programs require simple along line location
and LINE number, others require X (along line), Y (across line) and Z
(depth below surface) parameters for both A & B transmitter electrodes.
RX LOC
Receiver location. Some programs require simple along line location and
LINE number, others require X (along line), Y (across line) and Z (depth
below surface) parameters
Note: Modifying many of these fields can cause automatic changes to a number of fields in the
Channel table, therefore they should be entered first.
