DATA TRANSFER TO A COMPUTER 

Data  files  can  be  transferred  to  a  PC  or  laptop  computer  through  a  100BASE-T  Ethernet 
connection, wired either directly or through a network.  Standard network protocols are used.  PC 
or  laptop  firewall  and  network  connection  settings  may  need  to  be  configured,  and  are  beyond 
the scope of this manual.   

DIRECT CONNECTION TO PC OR LAPTOP 

Connect  the  computer  to  the  receiver  with  a  “crossover”  cable  available  from  Zonge  or  many 
computer vendors.   

From the Zonge Logo screen, press 

 to start the connection.

Enter  an  IP  address  consistent  with  the  address  of  the  PC  or  laptop.    The  first  3  octets  for  the 
receiver  address  should  be  set  to  match  those  of  the  computer.    The  last  octet  for  the  receiver 
should  be  different  from  the  computers.    The  Subnet  Mask  for  both  should  also  match,  and  is 
generally 255.255.255.000.   

Note:  To obtain the IP address of a Windows computer, click the Start icon, type “

cmd

” on the 

command  line,  and  press  enter  to  start  up  a  command  box.    In  the  command  box,  type 

ipconfig

”.    The  IPv4  address  given  for  the  Ethernet  adapter  Local  Area  Connection, 

should work.   

Press 

  to  initiate  the  connection.    If  a  network  socket  is  successfully  opened  the  GDP's
