MANUAL SYNCHRONIZATION
For Manual synchronization to an XMT, the Use GPS Syncing setting should be left at
No
. To
synchronize the crystal, press
, to select the XTAL submenu, and follow the on-screen
instructions to adjust the crystal frequency. Adjust the DAC Value until the phase meter needle
on the XMT stops. Then press
RESET
on the XMT.

Note: For manual synchronization with an XMT transmitter controller, both the receiver and
XMT should be powered on for at least an hour before running SYNC.
If a fast beep sounds while pressing any of the crystal adjust keys, no more adjustment is
available on that particular key. Move to the next higher (coarser) adjustment key.
If unable to make the phase meter needle stop moving completely, see
Section 6.2
for the
manual adjustment procedure.
Once the crystals have been adjusted to give the same frequency (the phase meter needle
has stopped), press
RESET
on the XMT.
Note: The XMT Sync screen instructions assume that there are standard analog cards in
channels 1 and 2. A NanoTEM card in either channel can cause the receiver to lock up if the
synchronization routine is tried.
