4.2
RECEIVER START-UP
Power Up the receiver by cycling the
Power ON/OFF
button on the Control I/O panel.
This applies power to the oven-stabilized Crystal Oscillator and illuminates the Crystal Oscillator
Power Light on the Front Panel.
Note: For some surveys, the Crystal Oscillator should be powered on for a minimum of 20
minutes before any data acquisition or calibration procedure. For manual synchronization with
an XMT transmitter controller, both the receiver and XMT should be powered on for at least an
hour before syncing and acquiring data.
Press the
button located on the Front Panel. The unit beeps and the LCD displays the
operating system initializing parameters, and finally displays the Zonge Logo screen, which is
the starting screen for all operations.

Adjust screen contrast and backlight, pressing
and
if necessary. Pressing
will provide a longer backlight period, but use more power.
All Field Survey programs and system Utilities are directly accessible through the function keys.
Follow the function key labels on the bottom two lines of the display.
