ZOLL 330 Multifunction Aspirator Operator’s Guide
6-3
Warning!
The unit is not intended for hyperbaric operation. Using the aspirator in a hyperbaric
chamber can result in harm to the patient and/or damage to the device.
Rain and Snow
You should prevent exposing the aspirator to rain or snow. In driving rain, where water could
enter the vacuum pump, care should be taken to limit the exposure of the device. The aspirator
is capable of operating in these conditions if you keep the device in its soft case and use the rain
flap provided with the case. The soft case and rain flap prevent water from puddling on the
aspirator’s surfaces.
To best protect the aspirator from rain and snow, do the following:
1. Place the aspirator in its soft case.
2.
Position the aspirator in its operational upright position.
3.
Secure the aspirator in the soft case using the zippers, finishing at the bottom of the device.
4.
Apply the rain flap over the aspirator using the Velcro strap to secure it.
In cases of driving rain, where water could possibly enter the device’s vacuum pump, you can
use an in-line filter to protect the pump inlet.
