ZOLL 330 Multifunction Aspirator Operator’s Guide
7-1
Chapter 7
Maintenance
This chapter describes how to maintain the ZOLL Model 330 Multifunction Aspirator to ensure
its optimum working condition and readiness for immediate use. Specifically, this chapter
describes how to:
•
Inspect the device
•
Clean the device
•
Replace intake filters, as necessary
•
Store the device
•
Troubleshoot operational problems
In addition to the activities that we describe in this chapter, it is also important to perform
preventative maintenance and replace worn or defective components as necessary. Mechanical
components are subject to wear and fatigue over time and deteriorate more quickly when used
continuously. To insure compliance with operating specifications, it is your responsibility to
insure that periodic preventative maintenance is performed. Only ZOLL-trained and certified
personnel should perform maintenance using the ZOLL Remote Calibration System (RCS).
Inspecting the Aspirator
You should perform the following physical inspections of the aspirator on a regular basis:
Ensure that the aspirator is clean and free of visible damage.
•
Inspect all accessories and connectors for signs of damage or excessive wear. Replace worn
or defective items.
•
Replace crimped, cracked or warn suction tubing and hoses as required.
•
If there is any sign of physical degradation or the device is indicating problems, you should
replace the collection canister.
•
Examine the muffler foam and replace it if it is dirty or clogged.
•
Inspect the external AC /DC adapter, line cords, and DC power cables for wear or damage.
Replace if worn or damaged.
