CAUTION

Only use Microstream® ETCO
2
sampling lines to ensure the
monitor functions properly.
Note
– When the caution message "Occluded Line" appears on the screen, indicating
that the sampling line
which is attached to the monitor is blocked, the monitor’s CO
2
pump
will stop pumping the patient’s breath into the monitor for testing. Follow the
instructions that appear in the Troubleshooting chapter of this manual: First disconnect
and reconnect the sampling line. If the message still appears, disconnect and replace
the line. Once a working sampling lie is attached to the monitor, the pump will
automatically resume operation.
Note
– The IPI is not intended to replace accurate clinician assessment of the patient’s
ventilatory status. The IPI can be used as another data point in the overall assessment
of the patient.
