5.2.5 Programming the fi ltrati on ti me using "TIMERS"
The ti mers are used to defi ne the length of ti me for the fi lter pump to operate, and the length of ti me for the Salt Water
Chlorinator (SWC) to produce chlorine. This off ers the user the advantage of running their variable speed pump longer
at lower fl ow rates, without having the chlorinator producing the whole ti me.
In order to complete the ti mer program, it is necessary to enter and validate both ON and OFF ti mes. If no ti mer is set,
the fi ltrati on and / or chlorinati on will run conti nuously.
The fi ltrati on operati ng ti mes must be suffi cient to correctly treat the water.
Programming examples
-
Filtrati on ti me (TIMER) in pool season for a water temperature at 26°
==>
26/2 = 13 hours of fi ltrati on per day
Filtrati on ti me (SWC) outside pool season (wintering acti ve) for a water temperature at 16°
==>
16/2 = 8 hours of fi ltrati on per day
==> Single-speed fi lter pump
•
Two operati ng periods can be programmed,
TIMER 1
and
TIMER 2
.
• Select the
TIMER
to program using the
butt ons. Press
to confi rm.
•
Set the ti me when the fi lter pump starts
"ON"
and the ti me when the fi lter pump stops
"OFF"
using the
butt ons. Press
to confi rm.
• Press
to exit.
•
When fi ltering ti mes are programmed, a lett er
"P"
is displayed on-screen:
Manual acti vati on of the device (pressing
) takes priority over the ti mer. If no fi lter pump is connected, the device
will only start chlorinati on.
If a single speed fi lter pump has been connected the fi lter pump will start along with chlorinati on.
If a variable speed pump fi lter pump has been connected the fi ltrati on pump will run along with the chlorinati on at its
set RPM 1 speed. All programs will sti ll be valid and will resume normal operati on the next cycle.
