This chapter describes general safety rules when using Z
Lipo
with particular focus
on the low-temperature and electrical safety. With proper use and maintenance,
appropriately qualified users can use the device safely. All staff working with the
device must be familiar with the safety regulations listed in the instructions.
The safety of the person to be treated, the user and other personnel should be a
priority. The safety of the person to be treated is mainly ensured by well-trained staff
and a properly equipped treatment room. It is important that the person to be treated
is properly informed.
Z
Lipo
generates high voltages. Some components can retain charge when the unit is
turned off. That's why no part of the housing must be removed. The removal of the
housing may pose a safety risk.
Make sure the device is always turned off before you connect or disconnect a
handpiece.
Never use the appliance in the presence of flammable or combustible materials.
Water and electricity are a dangerous combination. Do not use Z
Lipo
in a wet
environment. Do not dip any component directly into liquid.
The use of external cables and accessories may result in increased emissions or
decreased safety. Foreign accessories may not be connected to the device.
Do not use a damaged cable.
As manufacturer, Zimmer MedizinSysteme GmbH shall only be held responsible for
the safety and reliability of the device if
•
the device is operated using a proper power outlet with earthing and the
electrical installation complies with DIN VDE 0100 part 710,
•
the device is operated in accordance with the instructions,
•
extensions and adjustments or changes are carried out by persons who have
been instructed by Zimmer MedizinSysteme GmbH,
•
the user has ascertained functional safety and proper condition of the device
prior to its use,
•
the device is only operated by properly trained personnel,
•
the device is not operated in hazardous areas and/or a combustive atmosphere,
•
and the device is immediately disconnected from the mains supply upon
penetration by liquid.
The device contains no parts that can be repaired by the operator.
