CHAPTER 7: USING THE MACHINE
Operator safety is guaranteed by the automatic control and safety devices.
the above-mentioned safety systems switch the infra-red lamp on and off. the lamp is
switched off automatically when:
• it has been on for more than 2 minutes and 45 seconds;
• you attempt to start a welding cycle with the protective screen raised;
• you attempt to raise the protective screen;
• when you attempt to begin a welding cycle with the mechanical pointer outside its starting position;
• you attempt to start a welding cycle with the power adjuster not positioned at "zero".
The machine must not be used with any of its parts disassembled: before using the
machine make sure that all its components are properly in place.
To ensure that work is done in absolute safety always make sure that you
follow the described procedures with caution.

To provide greater clarity the numbers given in the diagrams in the following
paragraphs correspond exactly to the numbering in Chapter 3 in the "Machine
Description" section.
Should even just one of the control/safety devices not be working properly
proceed as explained in paragraph 7.5.
