ZeptoMux user manual
v1.05
Saving startup-config
The "startup-config" file defines the configuration of the ZeptoMux at initialization
(startup). It contains a set of commands that are automatically run each time
the ZeptoMux starts up. If the ZeptoMux loses power, it will be restored to this
state.
The "running-config" file defines the current configuration of the ZeptoMux. A
desired configuration can be saved to the startup-config file using the
copy
command (described under
Appendix A: Commands
).
You can display the contents of the running-config file and startup-config file
using the "
show running-config
"
and
"
show startup-config
" commands,
allowing editing.
•
To show the configuration to be saved, enter "
show running-config
".
•
To show the configuration currently saved, enter "
show startup-config
".
•
To record the present configuration and run it at startup, enter "
copy
running-config startup-config
". Be sure to preview it using "
show
"
before you do this.
•
Caution
: this command will immediately change the configuration of the
ZeptoMux. To reset the state of the ZeptoMux to the startup-config state,
enter "
copy startup-config running-config
". This runs all of the startup-
config commands.
