The underside of the power base has a storage area
for the connecting cord, which enables regulating the
length of the cord.
Preparing the kettle for use, switching it on
and operating the kettle
Before the first use, wash the kettle inside (washing instructions are
described later in the manual), fill it with water up to the “max” level,
let it boil four times (use fresh water each time) and wash again.
Press the lid catch in the direction shown on the
–
diagram and open the lid of the kettle.
Place the filter in the kettle – if it was
–
taken out before.
Fill the kettle up with the desired
–
amount of water (the level is visible on
the indicator).
Do not boil the water
if it is below the minimum level.
Close the lid.

Place the kettle on the power base.
–
Insert the plug of the connecting
–
cord into a mains socket with an earth pin.
Turn on the ketttle by pressing the switch button into
–
position I.
The indicator light will come on.
–
When pouring water into the kettle, be careful not to
fill up beyond the nominal capacity.
Do not use the kettle without a filter.
–
Do not use the kettle with the lid open – the automatic shut off will not
–
work then.
Allow the kettle to cool completely before cleaning it.
–
Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents such as emulsions, creams,
–
pastes, etc for cleaning the kettle body. They might remove graphic
information symbols such as: scales, marks, warning signs, etc.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
–
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
–
appliance.

y means of an external
timer or separate remote-control system.

The technical parameters are given on the data plate of the product.
Power rating: 2000W ÷ 2400W at 220V ÷ 240V.
Nominal capacity: 1.5l.
Heating element: flat heating element in the bottom of the kettle.

The kettle is a class I appliance equipped with a connecting cord with
a protective conductor and a plug with an earth pin.
The ZELMER kettle meets the requirements of relevant standards.
The appliance is compliant with the requirements of the following directives:
The Low Voltage Directive (LVD) – 2006/95/EC.

Description of the kettle
The electric kettle is equipped with:
A switch which switches power off directly after water has boiled. If an

empty kettle is switched on, a device protecting the heating elements
from overheating will operate.
A water level indicator with a scale and a pilot light indicating the moment
–
when water has boiled and the kettle has switched off.
Antiscale water filter.

A power base.
