NOTE
Before repairing electrical equipment, please
disconnect negative cable and do not allow
tools or other metal pieces to come in
contact with the electrodes as this could
cause a short circuit and lead to battery
damage.
3. Regular Maintenance
The following is a schedule for regular checks,
maintenance and service. Note distance and
time on items that come first. Those specified
in the table are all cycling maintenance except
that the breaking-in period (621 m) is the only
one-time maintenance, i.e. it is necessary to carry
out proper maintenance at relevant intervals
(mileage). The maintenance interval shall be
shortened depending on driving conditions and/
or heavy loads. These conditions include:
•Driving in dusty area or areas with saline
alkaline water;
•Driving on rough road, water splash or steep
grades
•Frequent or sudden braking;
•Driving in crowded downtown at 20 MPH or
above for more than 50% of total time.
When cleaning the inside of the vehicle door, door
sill, sole bar and other parts, the drain hole should
be unobstructed.
•Keeping garage dry. Constant moisture can
harm the vehicle. Do not park the vehicle in
poorly ventilated place.
•Keep the finish coat and coverings in good
condition. If there is any scratch or notch on
the finish coat, re-coat as soon as possible.
•Keep the vehicle’s interior dry. Check to make
sure the inside of cushions and carpet are dry,
and do not rinse the inside of vehicle with
water.
2. Routine Maintenance
Routine maintenance is performed as specified in
this manual to periodically check all components
and operational status of all systems.
CLEAN
•Keep the inside and outside appearance of
vehicle clean.
•Keep all contact points clean.
SAFETY CHECK
•Check that lights, instruments, wipers, hand
brake and foot brake, wheels, steering, drive
and suspension are in good operating order
and connections are secure.
•Check for normal sounding engine and chassis.
LEAKAGE CHECK
•Check for any water, oil, or air leaks;
•Check water, power, oil and air amounts are
sufficient. Corrective measures should be taken
as soon as problems are found.
WARNING!
Do not attempt any adjustments unless
you are familiar with the maintenance
procedure.
During maintenance, do not smoke.
Do not lie under the vehicle when it is
raised only by a jack.
Ensure the repair location has good
ventilation and keep children far away from
the vehicle
Before covering the access panel, make
sure no tools or rags are left inside.
