Emergency Conditions

6. Deflated Tires

WARNING!

In  case  of  a  flat  tire  while  running,  do  not

apply hard braking, as the vehicle could go

out of control. Rather, hold the steering

wheel  firmly  and  slowly  apply  the  brake

pedal to decelerate and then park well off
the road.

Important: Avoid changing a tire on slopes
or soft ground.

Pull  the  parking  brake  tight,  and  assemble
necessary tools:   jack and handle Insert a wedge

on both sides of the opposite tire for safety.

Cover the wheel nut

wrench on the bolt, then
loosen the bolt to dismantle

spare wheel.

Jack up positions of the hoisting jack:

Front axle

Jack up the underside of lower trailing arm with
hoisting jack as

shown in the

above figure.

Rear axle

Jack up the

underside of

leaf spring with

hoisting jack as

shown here.

If the wheel is equipped with an ornamental cover,

pry off the cover with a straight screwdriver.

Partially unscrew all wheel nuts with wheel nut wrench.

CAUTION!

Be careful not to allow the wrench to skid as
this could cause injury.

Jack up the vehicle with care until

the wheel is clear of the ground.
Rotate  the  rocker  clockwise

to lift up the vehicle, while

counterclockwise to lower it.
