Driving Suggestions
3. Economical Driving Suggestion
To achieve economical driving, always service,
and maintain the vehicle periodically to keep it in
optimum running.
•Avoid rapid start, sudden acceleration and
driving at high speeds.
•The maximum range can be achieved by
driving at a speed of 16-18 mph. Avoid any
unnecessary high speeds.
•Keep the tires inflated to indicated pressure
levels. Low pressure may cause tires to
wear more quickly, but increase electrical
consumption.
•Make use of motor brake when driving on a
long slope.
•Apply reasonable brake pressure if driving
down a long hill. Drive only at appropriate
speeds. Release the accelerator pedal to
decelerate. Avoid sudden braking with the
exception of emergency. Excessive braking may
cause abnormal brake pad wear.
•Overloading the vehicle is NOT recommended.
Turn off other electric accessories when not
needed.
•When the vehicle is running on a slope, the
mechanical brake takes priority, and the motor
brake is an assistant.
•To prevent brake fade as a result of overheated
brake, do not press brake pedal for a long
time or for many times during ascending and
descending driving.
•When the vehicle is moving on a slope, the
mechanical brake takes priority, and the motor
brake is an assist.
•To prevent brake fade as a result of overheated
brake, do not depress the brake pedal for
a prolonged period of time or excessive
frequency.
4. Suggestion on Slippery Road Driving
•Drive at uniform speeds with low-speed gear,
and avoid sudden acceleration, braking and
radical steering.
•Local regulations may require the use of chains
when driving on icy and snowy road surfaces.
•Never use worn tires.
5. Parking Brake Suggestion
•After the vehicle is stopped, pull the brake
lever up to set the parking brake. To release
parking brake, pull the leve
r
brake upward , then
release manual brake handle completely.
WARNING!
Pull manual brake tight when parking.
NOTE
While driving, make sure that the parking
brake is completely released and the
warning light is off. Insufficient release of
the parking brake may cause the brake to
be overheated, and cause the brake lining
to wear abnormally and retard braking
capability.
