• This is an explanation of how to dispose of
this product based on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Directive. This
directive is only valid in the EU.
• Marking
This product complies with the WEEE directive
marking requirement. This marking indicates
that you must not discard this electrical/
electronic product in domestic household
waste.
• Product Category
With reference to the equipment types in the
WEEE directive, this product is classified as a
“Monitoring and control instruments” product.
When disposing of products in the EU, contact
your local Yokogawa Europe B.V. office.
Do not dispose in domestic household waste.
1.1 Safe Use of this Product
Do not use this product in a manner not specified in
this user’s manual.
For the safety of the operator and to protect
this product and the system, please be sure to
follow this manual’s safety instructions. If these
instructions are not heeded, the protective features
of this product may be impaired. In this case,
Yokogawa cannot guarantee that this product can
be safely operated. Please pay special attention to
the following points:
(a) Installation
• This product may only be installed by an
engineer or technician who has an expert
knowledge of this product. Operators are not
allowed to carry out installation unless they
meet this condition.
• The equipment must be installed in accordance
with IEC (EN) 60079-14.
• All installation shall comply with local installation
requirements and the local electrical code.
(b) Wiring
• This product must be installed by an engineer
or technician who has an expert knowledge
of this product. Operators are not permitted to
carry out wiring unless they meet this condition.
(c) Maintenance
• Please carry out only the maintenance
procedures described in this manual. If you
require further assistance, please contact your
Yokogawa personnel.
• Care should be taken to prevent the buildup of
dust or other materials on the display glass and
the nameplate. To clean these surfaces, use a
soft clean cloth.
(d) Explosion Protected Type Instrument
• This equipment is intrinsically-safe. Users
planning to run this product in a hazardous
location should refer first to section 2.6
(Installation of an Explosion Protected
Instrument) of this manual.
• The use of this instrument is restricted to those
who have received appropriate training in the
device.
