4. Installation
4.1 Precautions
• Before installing WN100, read the cautionary
notes in subsection 2.4 “Selecting the
Installation Location”.
• For additional information on the ambient
conditions allowed at the installation
location, refer to subsection 10.1 “Standard
Specifications”.
• When installing, do not remove the antenna
connector cover and the microphone cover.
IMPORTANT
Installation Work
•
When performing on-site pipe fitting work that
involves welding, use care to prevent outflow
of the welding current into the WN100.
• Do not use the WN100 as a foothold for
installation.
IMPORTANT
In the case you install WN100 to a place where
explosive substance exists, set security and
network information to the equipment for joining
the field wireless network, before installing the
equipment to its final destination.
IMPORTANT
Don’t leave WN100 without attaching the
antenna and the all-weather protector.
Liquid or dust may cause damage to the antenna
connector or the microphone.
NOTE
To connect WN100 to the wireless network,
information for connecting to the field wireless
devices need to be set beforehand. Refer to
subsection 6.2 “Connecting to the Field Wireless
Network”.
NOTE
Consider installing the battery pack before you
install the equipment, in case the accessibility
you install the equipment is not good.
4.2 Mounting
• The mounting bracket shown in Figure 4.1 is for
mounting WN100 on 50A (2-inch) pipe. It can be
used for mounting either on a horizontal pipe or
a vertical pipe.
• To install on other structures, cantilever arms
or some other mounting devices can be used
instead of the attached bracket.
IMPORTANT
When using the antivibration stage, use a
level etc. and set it within ± 3 degree from the
horizontal. Up to ± 6 degree is acceptable when
WN100 is working with vibration.
4.2.1 Mounting with Antivibration stage
Vertical Pipe Mounting
First attach the bracket to vertical pipe with U-bolt
and nuts. Then, place the antivibration stage onto
the bracket, and fasten them with four bracket
fastening bolts. After that, place the WN100 main
unit on the dampers of antivibration stage and
fasten with nuts as shown in Figure 4.2.
