We suggest that you configure your YA701 in the following order :

Configure your speakers (press MORE then the logo representing a speaker).
The configure speaker tutorial will ask you to tell your YA701 how many and what type of speakers
you have in your system.
This menu also allows you to activate or deactivate the subwoofer output as well as zone 2 functions.
This menu also lets you define the exact location of each loudspeaker in your main room so your
YA701 can synchronize the output to all speakers.

Assign names to the sources and video outputs connected to your YA701 or to your [Y]box (press
MORE then NAME EDIT).

Set the contrast of your display (press MORE then LCD).

Set the balance (press BAL) and the subwoofer level (press BASS)
The BAL menu lets you configure the volume of each speakers of your main room. This lets you
match the different sensitivity of each speaker. The BASS menu allows you to adjust the level of the
subwoofer preout.

Store your AM/FM tuner memories (press TUNER).

Customize your system by going to the EXPERT mode (press MORE then NEXT).
The advanced setup menu lets you access to additional setup features such as sound an image
synchronization (Lip Sync), triggers assignment, infra-red repeater configuration (IR IN), crossover
frequency and bass mode.

so you can easily reload your settings if ever someone modifies them.
A user profile lets you store key elements of your set up :

active video source and output (as well as monitor content)

balance of each channel

number of speakers to be activated as well as their location

crossover frequency

bass mode and bass level

zone 2 activation

bi-amplification activation
Please refer to USER MODE section of this manual which will guide you in the memorization of up to 4 user profiles
(pages 42 and 43). From the MAIN menu, press on USER. Then hold any of the presets P1 to P4 during 3 seconds. The

will confirm a correct operation (x representing the memory number).
