Do not leave a hanging load unattended. Do not allow children and those who have not been train as regards operation of the

device close to the area of storage and operation of the hoist.

Do not use the hoist if the rope is tangled. First, untangle the rope, and then make sure it has not been damaged because of

having been tangled.

The grade of protection s of the device from penetration of external factors is: IP54 (in accordance with EN 60529:1991 +

A1:2000), which means protection from dust in quantities affecting the operation of the device, and protection from drops falling

at any angle from each side.

The device should be protected from frost and low temperatures. The recommended working conditions are the following: ambient

temperature between 0

O

C and +40

O

C, relative humidity below 85% and the height above sea level below 1000 m.

The temperature at the place of storage must be between -25

O

C and +55

O

C, in special cases, for no more than 24 hours the upper

limit may be exceeded to +70

O

C.

It is prohibited to walk or stay below the transported load.

Avoid swinging of the transported load.

Before using the hoist, make sure the rope is not damaged and it is wrapped on the drum in parallel coils.

The maximum load which may be lifted or lowered by the hoist is indicated in the rating plate of the device, and not on the hook.

Do not exceed the maximum weight of the load.

It is always required to leave at least three coils the rope wrapped on the drum, since this will allow to avoid unnecessary strain.

Do not wrap on the drum more than 15 metres of rope.

In cases when the cable required replacement, the device must be sent to an authorised service point.

If during lowering of the load, it is stopped, the nit is possible that it will continue going down for a couple of centimetres more,

which is causes by inertia.

The electric motor is equipped with a thermal fuse. If it is activated, the hoist is stopped, and it is so in case when the temperature

of the motor is too high to continue operation. The device may be started again only if the motor has reached a temperature which

guarantees a safe operation.

The electric motor of the hoist is not protected with any overload safety device, and thus if the hoist does not lift any load, the lift

button should not be pressed. In such cases the device must be turned off and the motor must cool down. In such cases the load

may be too heavy to be lifted. Reduce the weight of the load.

Check from time to time the conditions of the screwed connections and tighten the loosened bolts and nuts.

Make sure all the elements (such as hooks, hitches, etc.), to which the hoist is meant to be connected will resist the load generated

during operation of the hoist.

During operation of the hoist the operator must observe the transported load all the time. It is particularly important not to allow

any people or animals along the whole path of the transported load n.

The hoist must not be used as a device holding a load permanently. Once all the actions related to the task of transporting of a

load with the hoist, the load must be protected from displacement. Then the hook of the rope of the hoist must be disconnected

from the load and the rope must be wrapped on the drum of the hoist.

6. PREPARATION FOR WORK

6.1. Checking the hoist

The drum with rope may be protected for transport with a band. Before the first start, the band must be completely removed from

the drum.

ATTENTION! The hoist must be checked before each start.

Before checking the device the power supply of the hoist must be disconnected, and therefore the plug must be removed

from the mains socket.

Make sure all the bolts are correctly tightened, there are no loose elements and connections. If there are any loosened connec-

tions, the bolts must be tightened.

Make sure the rope is in good conditions. In case any frayed fibres or any deformations of the cross section of the rope are detect-

ed (II), it is prohibited to continue any further operation of the device. The rope must be replaced by an authorised service point.

Make sure the rope is correctly wrapped on the drum of the hoist. The coils of the rope must be parallel and tight. In Illustration (III)

only the position „C” shows a correct position of the rope on the drum. Positions „A” and „B” are incorrect.

Make sure the emergency stop button and the lifting direction selector are not damaged.

7. OPERATION OF THE HOIST

7.1. Fixing the hoist

ATTENTION! During installation of the hoist, the device must be OFF, so the plug must be removed from the mains

socket.

The hoist must be installed on a beam, whose dimensions comply with the dimensions of the clamping rings provided along with

the hoist, using the bolts and washers (provided). Take into account the strength of the beam. All the bolted connections must be
