This unit has three types of audio jacks, two types of video jacks and HDMI jacks. You can choose the connection
method depending on the component to be connected.
■
Audio jacks
AUDIO IN 1 (COAXIAL) jack
For digital audio signals transmitted via a coaxial digital
audio cable.
AUDIO IN 2 (OPTICAL) jack
For digital audio signals transmitted via an optical digital
audio cable.
AUDIO IN 3 jacks
For conventional analog audio signals transmitted via a
left and right analog audio cable. Connect the red plugs to
the right jacks, the white plugs to the left jacks.
You cannot use the AUDIO IN 3 jacks to input PCM, Dolby
Digital and DTS bitstreams.

Video jacks
VIDEO IN 1/2 jacks
For component video signals, separated into the
luminance (Y) and chrominance (P

R
) video signals
transmitted on separate wires of component video cables.
VIDEO IN 3 jack
For conventional composite video signals transmitted via
composite video cable.

This unit is equipped with a video up-conversion function as
shown below.
