Almost all settings are optimized by the Initial Setup
procedure (

P. 10). If you change the speaker layout or
the speakers themselves after executing the Initial Setup
process, use this menu to re-optimize the sound. The
choices indicated in bold are selected by default.

Select “Start” and follow steps 6 to 11 at “Step 1: Auto
Speaker Setup”. (

Speaker Configuration
Front
When “Bass Out” is set to “Front”, you can only select “Large”
for “Front”. If “Front” has been set to anything other than
“Large” before, this unit changes the value to “Large”
automatically.
Center
Surround
Apply the change and return.
Discard the change and return.
(Note that some changes are
applied immediately.)

Determining the speaker size
If the speaker’s woofer section is:
– 16 cm (6.5 in) or larger: large
– smaller than 16 cm (6.5 in): small
