(into the double offset joint, constant velocity
joint, and dust boots)

TIP

Molybdenum disulfide grease is included in the
repair kit.

4. Install:

• Dust boots “1”

• Boot bands “2”, “3”, “4”, “5”

TIP

The dust boots should be fastened with the boot
bands “3” and “5” at the grooves in the constant
velocity shaft.

• Front drive shaft yoke

TIP

Use the universal joint holder “1” to hold the front
drive shaft yoke, then loosen the front drive shaft
yoke nut.

B. Differential side

Molybdenum disulfide grease

60–80 g (2.1–2.8 oz) per dust
boot (wheel side)
35–55 g (1.2–1.9 oz) per dust
boot (differential side)
