CHECKING THE TIRES
The following procedure applies to all of the
tires.
WARNING
EWB02960
This model is equipped with low-pressure
tires. It is important that they be inflated cor-
rectly and maintained at the proper pres-
sures.
Tire characteristics
WARNING
EWB02970
Tire characteristics influence the handling of
vehicles. The tires listed below have been
approved by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. for this
model. If other tire combinations are used,
they can adversely affect your vehicle’s han-
dling characteristics and are therefore not
recommended.
Tire pressure
WARNING
EWB02980
• Tire pressure below the minimum specifi-
cation could cause the tire to dislodge from
the rim under severe riding conditions.
• Use no more than the following pressures
when seating the tire beads.
Front
250 kPa (2.5 kgf/cm²) (36 psi)
Rear
250 kPa (2.5 kgf/cm²) (36 psi)
Higher pressures and fast inflation may
cause a tire to burst. Inflate the tires very
slowly and carefully.
Maximum loading limit
WARNING
EWB02990
Be extra careful of the vehicle balance and
stability when towing a trailer.
